The Ball Of The Season!
Red was definitely the IT colour for this year’s Red Cross Ball which was celebrated on November 14th at Thornton Hall Hotel & Spa. Attended by Mayor and Mayoress of Wirral Andrew and Kathryn Hodson the spectacular event raised more than £20,000.

It was an evening full of surprises and excitement – all guests were greeted in a beautiful marquee with a red rose and reception drink, the luxurious welcome present was a scented candle kindly donated by ESPA which brought a smile to everybody’s face and started the evening off in style.
The evening commenced with a dramatic opening performed by the Wirral Pipe Band and during Dinner Holly Wright entertained the audience with songs from Kathryn Jenkins and got standing ovations for her touching singing.
“We had guests from all over England and even Austria and Germany attending the Red Cross Ball and we were all overwhelmed with the success this year”. Says Alexis Fairclough Senior Fundraiser of the British Red Cross. “ This years Red Cross Ball was expceptionally special, and HRH The Prince of Wales has written to me personally wishing every success with the event and I am grateful to His Royal Highness’s support. Thank you to our sponsors ESPA, Chairstyle and Clarksons for supporting this evening. Once again Ina Schmidt of Diamond Events did an outstanding job and secured with her contacts, style and expertise the success of the event.”
The money raised from the Red Cross Ball will go a long way to provide British Red Cross services to both the local community and will help provide disaster relief overseas.
