Red Cross Ball Event of the Year!
Tickets are on sale for Red Cross Ball 2009 at Thornton Hall Hotel and Spa, Thornton Hough, Wirral.
Thornton Hall Hotel and the British Red Cross are joining forces once again to bring the Red Cross Ball to the Wirral. The ball will be held at the hotel for the second year running, following last year’s success in providing an evening of entertainment for the Wirral and raising valuable funds for the Red Cross. Guests can expect a glittery night of live music, as well as an auction of exclusive prizes and a menu prepared specially for the event by the head chef of Thornton Hall Hotel’s award winning restaurant.
The Red Cross Ball will be held on Saturday 14th November at Thornton Hall Hotel & Spa and will raise funds to train and equip Merseyside volunteers to enable Red Cross to be prepared to respond to emergencies, provide crisis care services for vulnerable people, and to provide humanitarian education and volunteering opportunities for young people in Merseyside as well as helping in crisis overseas.
British Red Cross Senior Fundraiser from Merseyside Alexis Fairclough, said the Red Cross Ball is a key fundraising event.
“Every year the Red Cross trains thousands of people across Merseyside
and Wirral in life saving first aid skills.” she said. “We have the
lead role in Merseyside’s emergency response plan to deal with major
emergencies and disasters. The training we provide equips people to
deal with accidents, floods and fires. Events like the Red Cross Ball
at Thornton Hall Hotel and Spa enable us to train and equip our
volunteers with the skills they need to be on call and help vulnerable
people in crisis both here in our community and overseas. Last year we
raised £23,000 and it was a fantastic evening. We are hoping that in
2009 we can look to raising even more which would be a marvellous
achievement! Tables sold out within a few months for last years Ball,
so we are encouraging those wishing to attend the 'Red Cross Event of
the Year' to book early to avoid disappointment.”
Thornton Hall Hotel & Spa has helped to raise funds for a number of charitable organisations in the past, such as Claire House, the Jellybean Kids’ Appeal, and Breakthrough Breast Cancer. The hotel is keen to raise funds for the Red Cross as it will have a great benefit not only in Merseyside, but also overseas, wherever its help may be needed.
Thornton Hall Hotel’s marketing manager Ina Schmidt said the hotel is delighted to be in partnership with the Red Cross and to host such a high profile event.
“Here at
Thornton Hall Hotel we have the facilities to organise and run a major
fundraising event which is suited to an organisation of the Red Cross’s
stature,” she said. “We also have a highly qualified Event Team which
is specialised in Charity Events and that’s what an organisation like
the Red Cross wanted. We are so proud that we were part of such a
wonderful event last year and are looking forward to organising another
successful Ball for the Red Cross on 14th November 2009.”
After the
success of last year, tickets for this year’s event are already in
demand, with both previous guests as well as first time visitors eager
to secure their place for what is set to be a glamorous evening for a
tremendously worthwhile cause.
The black tie ball will start with a welcome drink reception, followed
by a luxurious three course dinner, entertainment all evening and a
fantastic auction with special prizes not to be missed!
Tickets are available at £65 per person and there are corporate sponsorship and advertising opportunities to support the event.
