Flowers UK, Chester and the Wirral: 17th & 18th June 2011 
Using Ness Botanic Gardens as a base, these superlative botanic gardens overlooking the Dee Estuary contain the finest collection of rhododendrons and azaleas in the North-West; one of the best-known heather gardens in Britain; and an outstanding collection of Himalayan and Chinese plants.
They also boast a magnificent herbaceous border, specimen shrubs and a herb garden containing all the major culinary herbs. There is a rose garden set out to show how roses have developed since the late 1700s, which will be at its very best in June. This course is designed to play to David Lloyd's real strength - flower photography - which expertise has taken him all around the world.
Other Cheshire gardens will also be visited dependant on the weather and available blooms. An ideal course for you and your partner - beautiful gardens and photography - an ideal combination.
Portraiture UK, Chester and the Wirral: 18th & 19th November 2011
Regardless of what kind of camera you utilise, portrait photography has never been so accessible. The possibilities for stunning portrait photographs are within your grasp. Included in the weekend courses will be instruction on how to help make your portrait subjects appear comfortable, natural and self-confident and understanding innovative lighting. You will also learn how to use your own creativity in order to take unconventional photos.
Lots of opportunities for photographers to take imaginative shots in this largely undiscovered area of North West England.
Please be aware that because of the vagaries of the English weather in November, you will have to be slightly flexible about the daily content of this Tour.
