Our popular wedding facilities include a licence for civil ceremonies both inside the hotel and outside in our new garden Pagoda.
We offer a full range of conference and banqueting options accommodating from 2 to 200 delegates, and new for 2005 up to 500 delegates in our purpose built conference and function centre.
The Health Club, with its magnificent 20m heated indoor pool, is available to residents and conference delegates. Its fitness suite has the latest hi-tec equipment, twinned with spa-pool, steam and sauna rooms, and exterior hot tubs. The new Times Restaurant, located in the Health Club, offers a less formal dining experience.
The Club's Beauty and Hair spas provide a stunning selection of full-body treatments using the best products. Full or half-day all-inclusive sessions are always available.
Thornton Hall was built in the mid-1800s and was the home of the Bamford family, Liverpool shipping magnates. It retains some of the original decoration, including oak carvings and the ceiling of the Italian Room (now the main restaurant) in leather with inlaid mother-of-pearl.
Martins Bank, Liverpool, is reputed to have hidden its gold reserves in the hall's cellars during the Second World War, with a destroyer standing by in Wallasey Docks in case of an emergency evacuation.
