Red Cross Ball Hailed a SUCCESS!!
The British Red Cross are proud to announce the
success of their recent Red Cross Ball held at Thornton Hall Hotel and
Spa on Friday 14th November. The event was a sell out with over 220
guests attended who were treated to a fantastic menu, especially
designed for the Red Cross Ball by Thornton Hall's executive head chef
Brian Heron, and fabulous entertainment hosted by Mr Pete Price. The
Liverpool Samba School kicked off the dancing for the evening to live
band, One Way, who had everyone on their feet and enjoying the event.
Senior Fundraiser Alexis Fairclough said " The inaugural Red Cross Ball at Thornton Hall Hotel and Spa was a resounding success and from the event over £23,000 has been raised for British Red Cross. I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who attended and supported the event. I'd like to give special thanks to Andrew Thompson and Geoff Dale of Thornton Hall Hotel for their support and to Ina Schmidt of Diamond Events for her help in organising the event. It is only with the money raised from events such as the Red Cross Ball that the British Red Cross are able to be there for people in crisis both across the world and around the corner. We are so pleased with the support of all the staff of Thornton Hall that we have booked the date for next year's event, Saturday 14th November 2009 and will be selling tickets and tables for the event from the New Year."
