Highlight of the season – Red Cross Ball
Thornton Hall Hotel and the British Red Cross are joining forces to bring the Red Cross Ball to the Wirral.
The Red Cross Ball will be held on Friday 14th November at Thornton Hall Hotel and will raise funds to train and equip Merseyside volunteers to enable Red Cross be prepared to respond to emergencies, provide crisis care services for vulnerable people, and to provide humanitarian education and volunteering opportunities for young people in Merseyside.
British Red Cross Merseyside vice president Anja Terlouw said the ball would be a key fundraising event.
“Every year the Red Cross trains thousands of people across Merseyside and Wirral in life saving first aid skills.” she said. “We have the lead role in Merseyside’s emergency response plan to deal with major emergencies and disasters. The training we provide equips people to deal with accidents, floods and fires. Events like the Red Cross Ball enable us to train and equip our volunteers with the skills they need to be on call and help.”
Thornton Hall Hotel’s marketing manager Ina Schmidt said the hotel is delighted to be in partnership with the Red Cross and to host such a high profile event.
“Here at Thornton Hall Hotel we have the facilities to organise and run a major fundraising event which is suited to an organisation of the Red Cross’s stature,” she said. “We also have a highly qualified Event Team which is specialised in Charity Events and that’s what an organisation like the Red Cross wanted”
The black tie ball will start with a Champagne Reception, followed by a luxurious three course dinner, entertainment all evening and a fantastic auction hosted by Pete Price with special prizes not to be missed!
Tickets are available at £60 per person and there are corporate sponsorship and advertising opportunities to support the event.
